No Terrorist Link with Yesterday's Returned Northwest Airlines Flight
Thursday August 24, 2006
Dutch officials have said the diverting of Northwest Airlines flight 42 back to Amsterdam yesterday does not appear to have been triggered by a terrorist threat. The rescheduled flight left this morning for Mumbai. Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport is operating normally.
Keep in mind that there are still special security measures in place for passengers traveling to the U.S. You should double-check with your airline about further carry-on requirements and restrictions.
