Bokbier Festival This Weekend!
Thursday October 26, 2006
If you're a beer-lover like I am, you must pay a visit to the 29th annual Bokbier Festival this weekend, the largest beer festival in the Netherlands. As fall descends upon Europe, it's not uncommon to see beer taps swap out the summery, refreshing wheat (or white) beers to the darker, richer bock varieties. This three-day festival, organized by an association appropriately named PINT, gives visitors a chance to taste more than 50 Dutch bock beers. But pace yourself as you listen to live music and knock back the bocks -- these malty lagers are known to be strong brews!
