July in Amsterdam

July is almost here, and that means sales on every -- and I mean every -- corner. Bargain-hunters can barely see what the stores are hawking past the huge "SALE!" signs covering Amsterdam's most popular shopping streets.

While the semi-annual slashed prices continue throughout the month, so do increasing numbers of summer travelers. Sure the high-season crowds might be frustrating at times, but the 10 p.m. sunsets this time of year sure do give you plenty of hours to explore the city. And besides, who can blame people for wanting to be in Amsterdam when festivals abound and temperatures are the highest they'll be all year? This is July in Amsterdam.
