Fall is already breezing into Amsterdam, right on schedule. The crisper air it's bringing to the city makes wandering the watery maze even more enjoyable; but as you do, don't miss Amsterdam's most charming small canals, which have a much different feel than the bigger ones. Some of my favorite spots in the city exist along these narrow channels that cross their bigger counterparts, offering a quieter, quainter atmosphere. I visited Amsterdam this summer and loved it. The canals are beautiful. I know this is probably a very tourist thing to do, but I rented a canal bike and went on the rivers. it was such a great time.
