Up Close with the City Canals

Most visitors to Amsterdam are immediately enchanted by the city's canals, and one addition to Amsterdam in recent years is dedicated to this UNESCO-listed feature of the city: Het Grachtenhuis, or The Canal House, a museum devoted to the iconic canal belt. Its multimedia exhibition set inside the classic architecture of a 17th-century Amsterdam canal house explores the past and present of this indispensable part of the city.
