Reading through a guidebook to Amsterdam, you're sure to come across descriptions of the Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht, the three main, large canals in Amsterdam. These are certainly beautiful features of the city; but some of my favorite spots to sit and soak up the views in Amsterdam are along its smaller canals, where things are a little quieter and cafés a little quainter.
