2009/2010 New Year's Eve Parties in Amsterdam
  • If you're a fan of the hit TV show Mad Men, head to popular Leidseplein comedy club Boom Chicago to ring in 2010 in early 1960s style. General tickets (€ 40 pre-sale, € 50 at the door) include free Champagne at midnight; or pay € 120 for all that plus a pre-party comedy show, three-course dinner and unlimited beer and wine during both.

  • Find more TV-show-inspired revelry down in posh Oud Zuid at Dynasty '10. Dress code: glamorous. Music: funked-up '80s, with seminal rappers Sugar Hill Gang and the always-energetic Wicked Jazz Sounds artists. General tickets are € 65

  • Seeking even more of a throwback? Trendy Supperclub will welcome 2010 with roaring '20s glam, in a style that's sure to live up to its anything-goes reputation. For € 120 you'll enjoy a selection of finger foods; pay only € 70 if you're not hungry.
